Celebrity chef Scott Norwood has been asked to visit Costa del Dunas, a Caribbean island nation that's been closed off from the rest of the world for over four hundred years.

  The island's President, Dr. Hugo Martinez, an old medical school friend of his father, is attempting to modernize his country and develop a tourism industry.

  Scott becomes enmeshed in the island's volatile political affairs and romantically involved with two very dissimilar women.
